I don’t publish my podcast to YT, nor do I listen to any podcast there either.
I listen to podcasts when I’m doing something else (walking the dog, cooking, driving, etc). I don’t want to sit and watch people talking.

It’s not my preferred podcast format but I listen to it from time to time (Arvid and Tiago so far)

Thanks for the feedback. Personally I do like Marc LG. Interestingly enough some people have asked why we don’t publish out podcast on YouTube.
<@U02NH9BN5FY>: What makes you watch them on YT other than there other podcast platforms?

I typically do not watch podcasts on YouTube, but I do like the shorts. I listen to POD while driving. How I use a podcast on YouTube is the transcription extension tool that Glasp has for its social highlighter. That way when you use YouTube to study you can share the information. So having the transcript anywhere, but YouTube then has the triple exposure, transcription & video & social highlighter.

I have a controversial opinion in this topic Luise Haack. I believe that podcasts that show video are not podcasts but talk shows instead. A podcast should only be focused in the audio and the edit and the way you record it is different than video. I do like talk shows though and watch them all the time (specially the shorts).

I see, Tiago Ferreira. But why podcasts without videos on YT then, from your perspective?

ah, without video. I guess for people that do not have a preferred podcast listener, youtube is accessible and free

I was discussing both with my fellow podcasters. Thus interested in the full picture. Thanks.

For us (podcasters) posting on youtube is great to take advantage of their recommendation algorithm
