What do people use for analytics?

All the free tools that I’ve been using eventually turn into paid plans (probably unsurprisingly). Usermaven was great, but now their free plan is useless…

I’ll probably give matomo a go. Self-hosting will solve the pain of having to keep switching tools.

I use self-hosted Matomo.

It’s not as good as Google Analytics, but comparable.

You can have one Matomo installation for multiple projects and domains. For example, I set https://analytics.1st-things-1st.com/ and https://analytics.remember-your-people.app/ to point to the same installation.

Aidas Bendoraitis Thanks. I saw that you mentioned Matomo after searching the Slack community. I installed it yesterday and so far it’s working well. Turns out though that even in the self-hosted version not all features are for free, which is a bummer. But once a project makes money I’ll be happy to pay.

I pay for Pirsch, it’s like Plausible, but cheaper. And the WBE community has a discount.
